Meet The Team

The team at Guide Change has been protecting seniors and at-risk people for decades.  Our founders include Leah Cohen, a career social worker and care manager for at-risk clients, and Michael Curran, an attorney and MBA with technology and start-up experience.

Leah Cohen has dedicated her career to guiding older adults and clients with special needs through the maze of services available, maximizing their benefits before using their private resources.  She helps them make thoughtful decisions and find creative solutions.

 

Leah has had an Administration on Aging Fellowship, she was named 2016 Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers Texas Chapter Austin Branch, and she was a delegate to the White House Conference on Aging in 2005.

Michael Curran, Co-Founder Guide Change

Michael Curran

Co-Founder

Michael Curran is a Texas attorney and entrepreneur focused on using legal technologies to address today’s largest social issues.  Michael is a Past Chair of the State Bar of Texas Computer and Technology Section and a regular legal technology speaker.

 

Michael’s career prior to Guide Change included serving as General Counsel to a tech start-up focused on advanced data processing, and he has both a law degree and a Masters of Business Administration.

Kathy Schwartz
Interim CMO

Kathy Schwartz graduated from The University of Texas
with a BBA in Finance and an MBA in Marketing. She consults on digital marketing and cloud-based software for small businesses and startups.


Kathy has been Vice President of Strategy and Marketing at a financial technology company and Marketing Director for a large law firm. She was Marketing & Public Relations Director at Austin Community College.


Kathy serves on the Kinkaid School Alumni Board and was
involved with the Helping Hands Home Finance Committee.
